Mr. Andrew Salzman – Director of Bands

18673106_10154803164703246_4607683149937032921_oAndrew Salzman is in his sixth year of teaching music in Carbon County School District #1. He is currently the Director of Bands and Head of the Fine Arts Department at Rawlins High School. At Rawlins High School he teaches Band, “Outlaw Stampede Marching Band”, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Percussion Ensemble, Rock and Roll Studies, and Music Appreciation. Mr. Salzman was previously Director of Bands at Rawlins Middle School, 2-4 Grade and 2-3 Grade Music Specialist at Rawlins Elementary.

Mr. Salzman is currently the President of the South Big Horn Basin Music District and is the Music in Our Schools Month Chair of the Wyoming Music Educators Association. He is also the President of the Carbon One Educators Association. Andrew was born and raised in Worland, WY and is a 2013 graduate of the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education.

Outside of education, Andrew is involved in the community of Rawlins through his involvement in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge #609, of which he is the Esteemed Lecturing Knight. He also plays in the community musical group through Jubilante Ensembles of Carbon County.
